This work aims to ensure that all Australians have access to safe, clinically effective and cost-effective medical services through the provision of policy advice on the operation of the MBS, specifically in relation to general practice services.
**Your new role**
- Undertake research and/or policy development in legislation and policy matters associated with general practice items
- Data analysis to support policy development
- Drafting of policy papers, ministerial briefs, submissions and other documents as required
- Working collaboratively with other members of the team, division and other agencies
- Contributing positively to team and corporate responsibilities
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Strong strategic and analytic skills
- Strong organisational and planning skills, ability to supervise staff, work independently and as a part of a small team, and meet tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Strong stakeholder liaison skills
