Generous Base Salary + Super + Comms ($120-150k Package)
**The Company**: Our client is an international engineering technology company who are building a sales team across Australia and the USA. They have developed groundbreaking technology that will help Farmers achieve cost reduction and overall efficiency around water and farm management.
You will be inspired and supported by an impressive team of passionate, highly driven individuals who provide a flexible, fun and exciting work environment.
**The Role**:
A newly created role which will be instrumental in the growth plans for this business, you will be one of the first salespeople joining the team to drive business development activities around Australia.
You will be responsible for targeting both Farmers and Key Channel partners around Australia, the role will primarily be based out of Melbourne, however where appropriate there may be opportunity for Interstate travel.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Undertake the full cycle of sales activity in accordance with the procedures - including sales prospecting, achieving quotation deadlines, follow-up communications and completing sales transactions
- Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following the defined selling process with potential buyers
- Coordinate with other sales reps to ensure company quotas and standards are being met, performing market research and regular competitor monitoring
- Build and maintaining positive client relationships to ensure future sales
- Be a brand ambassador and reflect company values at all times
As this is a newly created business development role, you will need to be a self-starter and be comfortable working in an autonomous new business role.
To be successful in this role, it’s essential you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree ideally within Agriculture, however other business-related degree’s will be considered.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and CRM tool to manage customer engagements and run sales reports
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivated new business hunter with a passion for closing deals
- Highly organised with a high attention to detail
- Interest or willingness to learn about engineering/tech products
