**Position Information**:
Kellyville High School, located on the land of the Dharug People in the Hills Shire of north-western Sydney, is a coeducational comprehensive school of 872 students, with enrolments steadily increasing. 54% of students are identified as having a language background other than English and 2% of students identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. The school has an Inclusive Education Unit of 5 classes, catering for students with autism and intellectual disabilities.

The learning and wellbeing of all students is underpinned by a strong, proactive and supportive wellbeing team which incorporates a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) framework to instil the school values of aspirational, respectful and resilient students, staff and parents/carers.

Students are offered a wide range of co-curricular activities focusing on the creative and performing arts, debating, sport, the environment, student leadership and the Duke of Edinburgh Program.

The school has strong collaborative relationships with local partner primary schools, the P&C and the broader community.

Through the implementation of the School Excellence Plan, the school is committed to setting challenging and achievable learning goals for all students, delivered consistently by explicit teaching practices in a culture of high expectations.

Demonstrated highly visible, collaborative, approachable leader who can lead continued improvement and engage the voices of all stakeholders to make decisions, strategically plan and deliver action to maximise outcomes for all students.

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the demonstrated ability to lead the school vision and strategic directions to ensure effective transitions and successful pathways for all students.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education

2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs

3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community

4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning

5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning

6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policy and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
