**Position Information**:
Erskine Park High School is a fully comprehensive 7-12 coeducational secondary school where the development of strong partnerships with parents/carers and the broader community are actively encouraged and valued. The school has an enrolment of 870 students, 7% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and 11% from a language background other than English. A balanced, comprehensive curriculum catering for all levels of ability is provided to students. Effective whole-school literacy and numeracy strategies are complemented by co-curricular programs in the Arts, student agency/leadership, vocational education, environmental education and sport. Five Special Education classes are integral to the school’s inclusive and student-focused culture. Erskine Park School has a committed and professional staff, ranging from early career through to highly experienced. The executive team plays a significant role to ensure quality programs are delivered by highly skilled teachers. Highly effective educational leadership skills with a proven ability to model instructional leadership and continuous improvement, using the Strategic Improvement Plan as the key driver.
Demonstrated capacity to lead staff to develop students’ academic, social-emotional, physical, creative and vocational growth.
A strong commitment to enhancing partnerships with parents/carers and community organisations. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain authentic and deep educational and cultural partnerships, including with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, staff and community members.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education.
2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs.
3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community.
4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning.
5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning.
6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
