**About the role**
Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) is seeking experienced people leaders to join our Summary Crime team. In this role, you'll lead and support a team of administrative staff, making sure everything is running effectively and efficiently for us to meet our service goals. You'll oversee staff performance, recruitment, induction, training, and managing rosters. You'll also manage the office budget, facilities, and provide legal support.

Additionally, you will collaborate with other members of the Criminal Law Melbourne management team to develop and implement policies, procedures and strategies to enhance the legal and administrative work practices of administrative and legal staff and support quality service provision.
- This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country._

**About you**
- Leadership skills and experience in managing and developing staff.
- Experience in coordinating administrative functions, specifically office procedures and practices
- Highly proficient IT skills.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the capacity to manage changing environments and ability to prioritise your workload to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds, and stakeholders at all levels.
