We are seeking an experienced Head of Safety to join our Health Care team in Melbourne or Sydney. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical and practical support to the Health Care team in the areas of safety, health, and wellbeing.
- Provide technical and practical support to the Health Care team in safety, health, and wellbeing.
- Develop appropriate training programs in conjunction with the Learning and Development team.
- Manage and supervise three reports who are responsible for a national portfolio.
- Provide guidance and support to the Health Care team on safety-related matters.
- Monitor and report on safety-related incidents and trends.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines.
- Provide guidance on manual handling, safe driver, and OVA matters, including conducting risk assessments and implementing control measures.
- Provide guidance and support on Psychosocial and Mental Health related matters.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field ideal.
- 5+ years of experience in a safety management role.
- Experience with Psychosocial and Mental Health is ideal.
- Experience in manual handling, safe driver, and OVA management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel.
