**About Us**:
Cub Campers is a third-generation Australian manufacturing company based in Sydney’s North Rocks. For over 50 years, Cub Campers has been an industry leader, manufacturing some of Australia’s best caravan and camper trailers.

**About the Role**:
Due to ongoing growth, an opportunity exists for an experienced, General Manager (GM) who has a strong track record in manufacturing environments that subscribes to 5S and LEAN manufacturing processes, team building, profit and productivity improvement and is an experienced engineer.

You will, apart from your engineering and manufacturing background and experience, be a person with a vision who can demonstrate that you know how to translate that vision into a reality In short you will have overall responsibility for the business.

The GM reports to the MD/Board and is responsible for establishing the company’s agreed objectives and goals, the strategy to achieve these goals, structure, budgets, people, financial outcomes, and the various KPIs.
- Design strategy and set goals and targets for growth
- Control budgets and optimize expenses
- Ensure employees are motivated and productive
- A thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our staff develop and be productive, while ensuring our profits (budgets) are achieved.

**General Manager duties & responsibilities**:

- Oversee daily operations of the business organisation.
- Ensure the creation and implementation of strategy to meet yearly budgets.
- Build a Management Team and then co-ordinate the functions within the Management Team and direct reports.
- Ensure the overall delivery and quality of the business’s offerings to customers.
- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally.
- Oversee recruitment and training of new employees.
- Evaluate and recommend to the MD the key investments in equipment, infrastructure, and talent as required.
- Communicate strategy and results to the business’s employees.
- Ensure the business complies with, and staff follows, health and safety regulations.
- On a monthly or as required basis keep the MD abreast of the company’s results and variances.

The (new) GM must make him or herself acquainted with all areas of the business, within three months and then can coordinate and process operations across the company.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in planning and budgeting.
- Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.).
- Strong analytical ability.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Outstanding organisational and leadership skills.
- Problem-solving aptitude.
- An Engineering degree, a Business Degree, or qualifications in a relevant field

**Salary**: $150,369.67 - $250,604.33 per year

Supplementary Pay:

- Performance bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- North Rocks, NSW 2151: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Manufacturing: 10 years (preferred)
- Lean manufacturing: 5 years (preferred)
