**About St Vincent de Paul Society**

For more than 165 years we have been providing practical and compassionate support to people across Victoria whose daily struggles can include putting food on the table, paying essential utilities and ensuring their children remain at school to obtain an education.

Under our Good Works umbrella we have many services and programs, including soup vans, education programs, home visitation programs and VincentCare Victoria (VCV), which assists some of Victoria’s most vulnerable communities, such as people experiencing homelessness, the housing crisis and family violence, and the elderly.

**About the Role**:
A newly created position, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator (Volunteer Attraction and Coordination) collaborates closely with the Talent Acquisition and Compliance team (background checking), the broader People and Culture team, and all departments across the organisation that rely on our volunteers to provide important support services to the most disadvantaged in our communities.

These will include our retail volunteers in Vinnies stores; Soup Vans; the No Interest Loan Scheme, Education; and our Call Centres who all rely on the generosity and dedication of our volunteers

Recognizing the critical impact of our volunteers on service delivery, culture and success of the Society, this position will work closely with Managers across the organisation to develop initiatives to attract volunteers, ensuring that the volunteer experience in joining the organisation including adherence to compliance checks and other relevant requisites is a positive one, and ultimately that there is provision for the timely engagement of volunteers across the organization.
