This is a hands-on role with plenty of opportunity to influence the way we use geospatial tools in real-world field scenarios, directly supporting operational teams and helping shape future workflows.

**The Role**
- **Maintain and support** ESRI-based spatial systems and tools, including **ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and Portal for ArcGIS (10.x/11.x)**:

- **Collaborate with internal teams** to deliver spatial data, custom maps, and geoprocessing solutions that support vegetation management activities
- **Support field data collection** through configuration and management of mobile apps (e.g. Field Maps, Survey123)
- **Perform spatial analysis**, reporting, and visualisation to support decision-making and operational planning
- **Work with SQL Server databases** to manage, query, and optimise spatial and non-spatial datasets
- **Automate workflows** using ModelBuilder, Python/ArcPy, or FME
- **Assist with integration** between geospatial systems and business platforms such as asset management, works tracking, and reporting systems
- **Contribute to release management**, system upgrades, and user acceptance testing
- **Work closely with technical leads, system managers, and support teams** to deliver high-quality, reliable GIS services

**Required Experience**
- Proven experience with ESRI’s ArcGIS platform, including **ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and Portal for ArcGIS**(10.x/11.x)**:

- Strong SQL skills for querying, troubleshooting, and working with enterprise geodatabases
- Experience managing spatial data, analysis, and map production
- Familiarity with mobile GIS tools (Field Maps, Collector, Survey123)
- Experience automating spatial workflows (Python, ArcPy or ModelBuilder)
- Comfortable working in a service delivery environment (Jira or similar ticketing systems)
- Bonus: Experience integrating GIS with external systems or APIs

**Technical Skills**
- Strong spatial data manipulation, analysis, and visualisation skills
- Proficient in ESRI tools and web GIS technologies (especially Portal for ArcGIS)
- Solid experience with SQL Server and writing SQL queries
- Python scripting skills (especially with ArcPy)
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities — across both technical and non-technical teams
- Sharp problem-solving instincts and strong attention to detail
- A team player who shares knowledge and builds capability

- Have solid hands-on experience with both GIS tools and databases
- Are a Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen
- Enjoy collaborating with people across different teams and skill levels
- Are comfortable discussing spatial concepts with field teams and building practical solutions they’ll love
