**Responsibilities**
- Manage the delivery of timely and accurate GIS data, information and analysis to inform the development of strategies, planning and advice for the Program.
- Develop the methodology for the spatial inputs and assumptions underpinning the evacuation modelling and flood damages assessment for the flood risk management and emergency management in consultation with other experts and consultants.
- Identify trends and patterns in the spatial data and draw insight to identify key actions, risks and opportunities and present these to a range of internal and external stakeholders to integrate cross-government program development.
- Provide technical GIS and flood risk management expertise to a range of agencies and contribute to workshops and planning sessions to ensure robust decision making that considers risks and assumptions.
- Provide data management for the GIS data base in consultation with the GIS Officer to ensure data integrity, accuracy and completeness to inform GIS project activities.

**Essential Requirements**
- Strong knowledge and experience of the ESRI suite including programming languages such as Visual Basic and Python with GIS software to automate tasks, create maps, perform data capture and spatial analysis and produce asset database.
- Experience in data management for the GIS database in consultation with other staff to ensure data integrity, accuracy and completeness to inform GIS project activities
