An exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced **Merchandise** **Planner** to join our sass & bide family in our beautiful Support Office in Alexandria.
This role would suit someone who has experience in a similar role and looking for an opportunity to develop their career with an Australia designer label
**Key responsibilities include but not limited to**:
To manage all aspects of product planning and supporting the merchandising strategy within the business. To manage the inventory position, maximizing on opportunities which help deliver on key sales targets and other financial KPI's.
- WSSI management, with a focus on stock position and MD spend.
- OTB management, for season and category level, working with Buyer to ensure spend is inline with plan.
- Focused option plans for design/buying to follow, inline with OTB.
- Management of clearance strategies for underperforming styles & product categories.
- Continual assessment of opportunities and risks that will have an impact on sales.
- Overseeing stock management of allocations, consolidations & replenishment to all stores.
- Maintenance of line cards on core styles by colour.
- Monthly swot analysis of the business highlighting performance, Bestsellers and lessons learnt.
- Management of all markdowns, reviewing MD send, with focus on GM and stock clearance.
- Management of aged stock strategy, through promotions to ensure achieve closing stock targets.
- Seasonal Budgeting/monthly Forecasting inline with Business strategy.
- Reviewing store grading seasonally to reflect current store and business needs, supporting both financial and stock targets.
- Overseeing new store range builds and allocations against set timelines.
- Reviewing Allocation plan and stock consoles with Assistant Planner, to ensure inline with aged stock strategy.
- Weekly trade reporting, providing insight and suggestions to improve brand performance.
- Regular deep dives on categories, stores, best/worst sellers, to provide insight and support business decisions.
- Providing monthly product summary report on key product drivers and learnings.
- Analyze sales at the store/style level to identify and action consoles to improve sales and Margin.
- Regularly carry out size analysis and make proposals.
- Stock planning, focusing on aged stock and a weekly console plan to support a clean inventory position
- Creating ad hoc reports as required by the business in regard to product analysis;
- Regular store visits to seek feedback on product and planning.
**Leadership**
You will join a friendly established planning team and become the go to person for Sass and Bide, knowing the business inside out.
- Supporting and mentoring an Assistant Planner in their role.
- Lead, coach and develop your team in their current role and toward their career goals.
- Be a change champion within the business.
- Minimum 5+ years Planning experience in a retail environment.
- Advanced excel skills are essential.
- Experience with AP21 and TRS, or other Merchandising systems is a plus
- Must enjoy working in a small team and working collaboratively with other departments.
- Confident in communicating with senior management in regard to performance and strategy.
- Confident in managing a WSSI, forecasting and OTB planning.
- Proven record maximizing sales and GM, whilst keeping to stock targets.
