An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and driven ‘Safety Coordinator
**’** to join our high performing
- Safety and Sustainability _team.
- Manager - Safety and Sustainability’_ and provide administrative and facilitation support to the Safety Advisor team in SEQ, FNQ, and NT. Additionally, they shall coordinate quality assurance and safety systems maintenance functions with a focus on implementation processes relating to maintenance and analysis of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) information and associated reporting including document control and records management.

This a permanent, full-time role based at our Head Office in Acacia Ridge.

**The key responsibilities of this role will include but not be limited to**:

- Provide administrative assistance to the SEQ + Regional Safety Manager
- Provide administrative assistance to members of the SEQ + Regional Safety Team
- Coordinate and manage travel for the SEQ + Regional Safety Team
- Assist in preparing educational safety material and content for business toolbox sessions
- Facilitate the review of Noggin (information management system) and provide regular report updates on CAPA (corrective and preventative actions), investigations, hazards, and safety interaction status
- Coordinate and monitor the Safety Advisor and Business Centre Health, Safety and Sustainability Annual Planner Procedure
- Support the completion of internal SHEQ (safety health environmental and quality) audits and monitor action plan close out
- Collaborate with the Safety Advisor team to influence organisational safety improvements and performance
- Plan, support and participate in the implementation of Safety, Health and Environmental inspections, audits, risk assessments etc.

**About You**
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or working towards - will be highly regarded
- Qualifications in Document Control Systems office management, or related discipline
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position delivering outstanding results (Quality Assurance Function, Systems Maintenance)
- Previous experience coordinating document and records management processes
- Proficient computer literacy and experience using Microsoft Programs (Advanced Word, Excel, Outlook) and working with databases (ie. Lotus Notes, Access Databases)
- Proven stakeholder and people engagement skills with a high degree of tact, efficiency and professionalism
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety considered advantageous
- Knowledge or understanding of principles of ISO 45001:2018 Occupational health and safety management systems considered advantageous
- Previous exposure to mining/heavy equipment industries and the legislation and regulations they operate considered advantageous
