ABOUT YOU
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this role supports the Human Resources function at Port Phillip Prison through a strong understanding of the company's culture and business philosophy and strategy, and implementing consistent HR policies, frameworks and processes that drive strong employee alignment.
This is a great opportunity for a HR generalist to hone their skills and develop yourself in an ER, operations environment at Port Phillip Prison.
RESPONSIBILITIES

**The core responsibilities of this role are to**:

- Provide advice to a diverse range of mid and senior level managers on a variety of HR matters including but not limited to recruitment and selection, performance management, injury management, workforce planning, leave management, employee relations and employee wellbeing
- Oversight of a number of key HR projects that support culture improvement
- 'Hands on' delivery of a number of HR tasks which support the businesses People Plan
- HR metrics for Port Phillip Prison site including the provision of data and advice on attrition and retention
- Ensure principles of Talent Acquisition policy and associated processes are adhered to through engagement with line managers and the provision of constructive advice and support toward such

**The essential requirements from you**:

- Demonstrate a working history of effective partnerships with a diverse range of mid to senior level managers
- Must have experience interpreting EBA's
- Understanding and knowledge of recruitment processes
- Strong written communication skills, ability to draft contracts, write business proposals, internal adverts etc
- Understanding of FTE requirements
- Demonstrate ability to influence outcomes and decisions

ABOUT G4S & PORT PHILLIP PRISON
G4S manages Port Phillip Prison on behalf of Corrections Victoria. We are responsible for ensuring that both sentenced prisoners and those who are in our care on remand (those in custody awaiting court) are supervised and managed in a secure, safe and humane manner. We also provide programs designed to reduce reoffending and appropriate services to support the well-being of prisoners and their families.
