Operating out of our new headquarters in Macquarie Park, our purpose-built and world-leading centre for innovation is based on-site at Macquarie University in NSW, allowing us to nurture, trial and share new ideas and form new partnerships that will drive better outcomes for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind or have low vision.
**The Role**
Commencing in **February**or **March 2025**, NextSense has an exciting opportunity for a** Gift In Wills Executive**to join our Fundraising and Development team at our new centre of innovation at Macquarie University.
This role will be a **12 month temporary fixed term contract (parental leave cover)**, working full-time hours across 5 days a week, reporting in to the Head of Philanthropic Giving.
This role will be remunerated within a range of $99,473 - $102,065 base salary, plus superannuation, dependant on the experience and skills of the successful applicant.
You will be welcomed as a key member of the Gifts in Wills (GIW) team. This vital role will contribute to and support the GIW long-term strategy and stewarding program for bequestors as well as:
- Help grow and drive the Business Strategy and work collaboratively to implement end to end plans and processes, from bequest communication to personalised stewardship of current and potential donors.
- Utilise the extensive supporter database, to identify, research and cultivate new leads for the GIW pipeline.
- Work collaboratively to deliver a stewardship program not limited to events, phone calls, mail, visits, supporter survey.
- Accurate entry of supporter information and update records with meeting and conversation notes as necessary.
- Work with the Concierge team to plan, prepare and execute GIW Program events as required.
- Work in partnership with Individual Giving to plan and deliver exceptional supporter communications for prospective and confirmed bequestors.
- Work with the Marketing and Communications team, particularly in relation to communications and collateral including website, social media, print material and merchandise that promote growth within the GIW program.
- Nurture and develop relationships with estate planners and solicitors.
- Relevant experience in the not-for-profit sector with bequests or donor development programs, or experience in related business development roles.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships with individuals and their families over time.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and experience with or an understanding of database programs to support fundraising and customer management.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- High level of experience in customer and client service.
- Have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- A team player with strong work ethic, a positive attitude, a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
