**We’re changing the way Australia generates its energy, are you ready for a change?** **The Project** UGL and CPB Contractors have been awarded the early works contract to support Powerlink’s delivery of CopperString 2032. This $5 billion iconic project will initially be approximately 840 kilometres of new transmission line running from just south of Townsville to Mount Isa that will connect Queensland’s Northwest Minerals Province to the national electricity grid. The project scope includes: - 500 kilovolt (kV) transmission line from just south of Townsville to Hughenden - 330kV transmission line from Hughenden to Cloncurry - 220kV transmission line from Cloncurry to Mount Isa - up to six new substation sites. - Please note this role will initially be based in Brisbane, with transition into a site delivery role requiring DIDO/FIFO or relocation where additional allowances will apply. Townsville based applicants would be highly considered._ **The Opportunity** - As the Senior Quality & Completions Manager, Develop, recommend, and implement a quality assurance program to ensure compliance with quality requirements on the Project. **Key Responsibilities**: - Identify, manage and monitor quality objectives, requirements, risks and other issues that may adversely impact successful project delivery - Provide technical quality expertise for the Project and support to achieve the KPI - Provide guidance and seer the project towards Completion - Work in accordance with and demonstrate personal commitment to CopperString’s culture, and values. - Actively assist and value-add to Copperstrings social procurement strategy - Understand compliance and reporting procedures and processes and demonstrate leadership in the communication of requirements - Implement the organisational Quality Management Systems on the Project to ensure quality objectives and targets are met - Handle client expectations and communicate effectively with the project team - Ensure the project conforms with ISO:9001:2015 and Contractual/Regulatory/Legal requirements **Qualifications and Experience**: - Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Science, Building, construction, Quality management or Project Management, Diploma in Quality Auditing and Lead Auditor qualification - 5 - 10 years' experience in quality management role - Quality assurance experience gained within the construction, Infrastructure, Transport, Utilities, Transmission Tower, Substations or related industries,etc - Project completions experience and handover to client - Major projects experience >$150m - Hands on working with various Quality and Completions Systems **What we offer** - Great culture that values diversity, innovation, and integrity. - Diverse opportunities to grow as a professional. - Ongoing training for career progression. - Employee benefits, rewards and wellbeing programme - A competitive remuneration. **About us.** - The UGL and CPB Contractors JV for the CopperString 2032 Project brings together the expertise and large project experience of both companies.
