We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager - Independents to join our Retail Sales Team in a Permanent role. As the Key Account Manager
- Independents you will be an important member of the Retail Sales team managing specified Accounts and/or Product Groups within the Retail Grocery Account Team
**_What's the Scoop?_**
- Specified account management responsibilities for defined accounts and/or product groups, including maximizing sales and distribution, managing trade promotional spending, associated claims and activity within specified guidelines & sales forecasting
- Maintain records of Company and competitor distribution, ranging and pricing.
- Prepare and Deliver business / category review presentations.
- Provide details of updated promotional activity and other relevant Account information and priorities to National Activation staff on a regular basis.
- Identify and actively pursue ranging, sales, market share and/or profit improvement possibilities through thorough data analysis.
- Continually improve product distribution for new products and Bulla's existing product range in line with company Marketing Strategies and objectives.
- Influence the effective presentation of Bulla product ranges in-store via involvement in Planogram development and recommendations, and by monitoring, auditing, and following up on store compliance with Planograms.
- Effectively communicate all trade activity and information that may have a direct or indirect effect on business decisions in a timely and concise manner to relevant personnel within the Company.
- Development of account-specific promotional programs which are in line with company expectations and regularly review the program for effectiveness and implement remedial action when necessary.
- Effectively communicate externally on behalf of the company in a comprehensive, accurate and timely way and within company procedures.
- Continual development of own professional skills and knowledge ensuring enhancement of professional capability and contribution to the business required.
- Continuously improve own capabilities through demonstrated commitment to personal development
- Perform other duties as required or directed
**_What You'll Bring:_**
- Sound knowledge of retail grocery market, in particular the Independent/Emerging Market channels which is demonstrably updated.
- A thorough understanding of designated Account's goals, strategies and expectations.
- A good understanding of the operations of field sales staff and retail grocery outlets.
- An understanding of marketing strategy and practice.
- A good understanding of the ACCC guidelines in relation to customer pricing and trading agreements.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the capacity to positively influence people and to initiate and deliver change independently or through teamwork.
- Excellent analysis and numeracy skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation and negotiation skills.
- Well-developed logical and lateral thinking skills.
- Ability to effectively analyse a range of complex information so as to accurately determine market/customer/competitor trends and opportunities.
- Capacity to develop, maintain and effectively utilise information management and reporting systems.
- Effectiveness in managing internal and external relationships.
- A high level of competency in computer-based communication and information management tools (Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and good knowledge of Retail data software such as Aztec.
- Experience in sales/account management roles in the grocery industry.
- Demonstrated record of success in improving sales performance.
- Demonstrated success in maintaining strong and mutually respectful trade relationships.
- Sound time management and prioritisation skills.
