**Disability Support Worker Job Description**

**Position Overview**:
The Disability Support Worker provides essential care and assistance to individuals with disabilities, ensuring they have the necessary support to live independently and participate in their community. The role involves personal care, daily living assistance, social support, and advocacy to enhance clients’ well-being.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients in daily activities such as meal preparation, household tasks, and transport.
- Facilitate social inclusion and community engagement.
- Provide emotional support and companionship.
- Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, families, and support networks.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Certificate III or IV in Disability Support, Community Services, or equivalent.
- Experience in disability care or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license and First Aid certification may be required.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $23.97 - $41.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift

Licence/Certification:

- Full Driver Licence (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 50% (required)
