**About the role**
Reporting to the ICT Category Manager, you will be part of a small team of professionals influencing the future of ICT procurement within Council. You will work closely with the ICT Branch and other areas of Council on new procurement initiatives, contract renewals, contract management and forward planning.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Maintain knowledge of the relevant legislative and contractual requirements for the provision of a high-quality procurement and contract management services
- Manage a portfolio of partners and suppliers through a collaborative relationship to ensure optimum delivery quality
- Prepare technically and commercially accurate tender documents, solicit bids, facilitate the evaluation of responses, liaise with internal stakeholders for technical/quality support, and execute contract documentation
- Respond to complex customer service enquires from Council staff and existing and prospective suppliers
- Develop effective relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements, to forecast demand and improve the performance of Council’s contracts
- Assist in the development and implementation of the Department’s and Council’s Strategic Procurement plans, procurement policies and procedures
- Support the work of the ICT Category Specialist and the Category Manager in informing, preparing, and undertaking category reporting, spend reviews and developing category approaches to Council contracting
- Provide professional advice to internal and external stakeholders regarding contracts and procurement issues, including investigating/resolving contract variations and initiating solutions to minimise subsequent variation.

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Queensland Government Procurement Certification Program level 2-3.
- ICT procurement experience in either state or local government
