**About the role**
As Contracts Officer you will be part of the Procurement team and will be responsible for tender and contract management activities on behalf of Council. Your main focus will be on the goods and services category of spend, legislative compliance, conducting tender processes and collaborative contract management of Council suppliers.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking procurement activities to deliver goods and services to Council business areas and the wider community
- Providing internal advice and strategy in relation to contracting approaches
- Facilitating forward planning with key stakeholders to ensure goods and services are delivered on time and on budget
- Using actionable data & intelligence to help identify and drive better value, efficiencies, and practice improvements
**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have:

- An emotionally intelligent approach to working collaboratively in a team environment
- Five or more years active experience in a similar role, preferably in a public sector capacity
- The ability to be resilient, solutions-focussed, and capable of developing solid working relationships with key stakeholders across Council

This is a permanent, full-time position, Level 5 with a salary commencing at $90,018 plus superannuation of up to 12.25%.
