You will be offered the opportunity to showcase your Risk knowledge and expertise, as all team members have the opportunity to cross skill into coverage of other businesses, and work on divisional operational risk initiatives.

Major accountabilities include but aren’t limited to:

- Providing the Group Treasury business with specialist, outcome-focused risk and control advice, insight and challenge that influence decisions, optimise risk-reward balance and contribute to the attainment of business strategy and objectives.
- Critically assess Group Treasury risk identification and remediation, identify and escalate emerging risk themes.
- Offer an independent, 2nd Line oversight of the effectiveness of the business’ operational risk management practices, ensuring appropriate documentation and evidence of challenge.
- Deep diving into risk themes providing specialist advice and guidance from these reviews.
- Provide the business with insights into emerging risks arising from potential changes in business strategy, thematic reviews of internal events, key external learnings or changes in inherent risk environment.

**What do I need?**

You will bring with you operational risk, non-financial risk or compliance advisory experience gained ideally within financial institution, or from a consulting/audit firm. Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Treasury and/or Markets is preferred.

Due to the breath of the role you will be required to build effective networks with a range of stakeholders across all levels. As such strong communication skills both verbal and written will stand you in good stead as you will need to influence and negotiate when required.

An analytical mind with the ability to take the complex and simplify.
