**Role Summary**:
As a critical component of the Line 1 Risk team, this position is responsible for the proactive management and monitoring of end-to-end risk profiles, ensuring adherence to established risk management frameworks, policies, and controls.
As a key member of the risk management team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the division and business operations are in alignment with the risk management frameworks, policies, strategy, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite.
**Your daily duties will include**:
- Promoting and fostering a strong risk culture and awareness throughout the business, encouraging sound risk management practices in day-to-day decision making and strategic initiatives.
- Overseeing and supporting the resolution of issues and incidents in accordance with established policies, ensuring effective risk management programs are in place across all areas of the business.
- Analysing data to identify trends and key risk metrics, providing meaningful insights and information to the Consumer Finance team leaders.
- Assisting with the preparation of risk-related reports, providing risk insights and enabling proactive risk identification and management.
- Ensuring clear reporting, disclosure, and governance at the Risk Forums and Risk Committees.
- Monitoring and tracking actions against risk and control issues to ensure the quality of records and updates.
**Experience**:
- Bring your minimum of 3 years' experience in operational risk management / product / compliance / audit / assurance.
- Prior background in Banking/FS or Professional Services will be highly regarded.
- Previous experience in issues and incidents management will be highly regarded.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work up to GM level when required.
- Ability to foster strong relationships and drive a positive risk culture across the organisation.
- Comfortable or interested in working with data and identifying trends/insights.
