**Description**:
Research and Advisory Team Managers play a pivotal role in our business. They execute Gartner’s business strategy through directing the work of a team of advisors. They build and manage a team to high quality client engagements, contribution to and shaping of must have research and broader team development. Our VP team managers are dedicated to the growth of our business through advisory team enablement and collaboration across our partners in research, sales, and service. They help grow Gartner’s business by shaping a diverse, equitable and inclusive climate that allows advisors to grow and thrive in their careers.

As a VP, Team Manager in HR Advisory in the APAC region, you will lead a team of advisor associates in region and partner with other HR advisory managers and team members across the globe. This team is focused on driving growth and retention of the HR seats and leadership councils by delivering provocative and pragmatic advice and recommendations through client and prospect interactions (both individual and multi-client) and research deliverables. Critical to this role is the ability to understand and coach to a consultative client engagement approach and continual and diversified engagement with the Gartner product.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead your team through effective coaching / continuous performance feedback, managing performance at all levels and hiring, developing, and retaining top talent.
- Drive the consultative approach through client engagements across the broader team to enable client action and impact.
- Champion, coach and support the client and prospect experience in all interactions while managing to the product expectations, capacity, and productivity across the broad client base.
- Collaborate with sales and service to enable high quality and well positioned client-advisory interactions that reflect client expectations and the product entitlements.
- Coach your team to operate with the Gartner business model, mission critical priorities and financial goals.
- Manage team for quality through established processes and metrics, while also driving Gartner’s goal to continuously improve and transform its business.

**Job Requirements**:

- Experience in a Gartner leadership (informal or formal) role or previous management experience outside of Gartner preferred.
- 10+ years of experience working in a Research or Advisory related role, 2+ years of management experience
- A Talent Developer who acts as a talent magnet to recruit, coach, and develop talent. You have demonstrated experience team engagement, career pathing, and managing individuals to achieve success.
- A Great Communicator who can craft and deliver strong messages to motivate associates and clients.
- A Business Collaborator who proactively engages across business units to drive client and business outcomes.
- A Disciplined Prioritizer who manages the team’s time effectively, focusing on the most critical activities. Balances multiple priorities and successfully adjusts resources as needed.
