**Position Information**:
Epping Public School has a current enrolment of 883 students, including 95 percent from a non-English speaking background. The school has a dedicated staff and supportive community, offering an innovative learning environment that caters for all students. Our staff works collaboratively to create a culture of continuous improvement, resulting in increased student learning outcomes, engagement and wellbeing. Whole school priorities include embedding evidence-based best practice for literacy and numeracy, assessment, data and high potential and gifted education. We integrate technology into teaching and learning programs to enrich and differentiate learning experiences for our students. Epping Public School has been the base school for the Hornsby-Dural Itinerant Hearing Service for several years. The Assistant Principal Hearing and three Itinerant Support Teachers Hearing (ISTH) operate out of Epping Public School. The itinerant hearing team visits schools within their teaching region and provide support for hearing impaired students and their school.

There is a fulltime permanent position available on the Hornsby-Dural team. Suitable applicants are required to have a current driving licence, comprehensive car insurance, daily access to a vehicle and the ability and willingness to travel between schools.

**Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach Hearing Impairment (Primary) and Hearing Impairment (Secondary)

Capacity to develop, implement and evaluate quality Personalised Learning and Support Plans for students who are deaf or hard of hearing across diverse settings from Early Intervention, K to Year 12 and special settings

Well developed communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members, families, school staff, healthcare professionals and other agencies to deliver successful outcomes for deaf or hard of hearing students

Comprehensive knowledge of assistive hearing technology to support equal access to the curriculum for students whoa re deaf or hard of hearing
