Reporting to the Team Leader, the main purpose of this role is to implement a pro-active, specialised approach to the management of whole person impairment (WPI) claims and provide technical guidance in relation to the strategic management of whole person impairment (WPI) claims.

This will be a **Permanent **position commencing **ASAP based** in the **Sydney, Newcastle or Gosford** office, with flexibility to work from home.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Manage permanent impairment claims within set targets and KPIs for the different Business
- Provide legal and technical support to strategically disputes and litigation in WPI claims
- Coach and train case managers in relevant case law and implement changes to claims process as required
- Attend conciliation and court hearings as required
- Demonstrate effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders as measured by feedback from key stakeholders and outcomes on claims
- Support relationships with external legal providers and clients connected to the various business units

**ABOUT YOU**
- We are looking for an outcome focused and results driven Permanent Impairment Specialist.
- Excellent understanding of the NSW Workers compensation legislation and the associated regulations is essential
- Through understanding of the iCare contract requirements and performance measures
- Very strong experience in claims management including litigation, particularly long-term claims
