**Description**:
**About the role**

We are looking to hire a Full-time Vineyard Operator to join our Ivanhoe Wines Vineyard team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in growing premium fruit.

Key responsibilities:

- Conduct tractor and machinery operations, including pruning, slashing, spraying, assisting with harvesting operations, mowing and other duties as required.
- Engage in hands-on vineyard work to ensure the highest quality standards
- Assist with the ongoing maintenance of the property

**About you**

You are a hard working and enthusiastic person, who enjoys working as part of a team, as well as working autonomously.

You will also have the following:

- A no job is too small attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong communication skills
- Previous experience working in viticulture or agriculture is highly advantageous
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Previous vineyard experience
- Current Driver’s License
- Forklift License
- Chemical handling certificate or willing to obtain
- Experienced in machinery / tractor operations on steep terrain
- Flexibility during vintage (night and weekend work is required)
- Physically fit with the ability to perform manual handling tasks.

Supervised and autonomous tasks are in the areas of:

- Vine Management, including pruning, training and canopy management
- Monitoring for vine pest & disease issues
- Harvesting operations
- Machinery operations
- Irrigation & Trellis - monitoring and repairs
