The First Peoples - State Relations Group is seeking talented and passionate individuals committed to progressing the Victorian Government's nation leading work with First Peoples.
This is a unique opportunity to work in new and innovative ways that recognise First Peoples as the self-determining drivers of Aboriginal affairs in Victoria. This role will contribute to the ground-breaking work of the Group in the areas of truth, treaty, self-determination and cultural rights.
As the Enforcement and Compliance Analyst, you will support your team in relation to compliance and enforcement of the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006. This includes:

- maintaining the enforcement and compliance database
- interrogating and assessing the database for non-compliance trends
- working on proactive compliance strategies
- supporting Inspectors and Investigators with information retrieval and analysis
- a range of administrative duties.

About you
- experience in managing, organising, interpreting and critically analysing data, including the identification of trends and patterns arising out of compliance data sets
- strong research skills, including the sourcing of information from open and subscription-based sources
- the ability to quickly learn and work with various IT systems
- the ability to prepare meaningful briefs, reports and data dashboards to communicate statistical and intelligence-based information
- high level time management, organisation, communication and interpersonal skills.
