
Manager Compliance, System Reform and Workforce

THE ROLE
Reporting to the State-wide Manager, Regulatory Compliance and Enforcement, the Manager, Compliance will lead four regionally based teams responsible for protecting the safety and human rights of people in receipt of human services through the effective regulatory oversight of service providers compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory obligations.
Based centrally, but often working through one of the department's regional offices, and implementing compliance and enforcement strategies across a broad range of human services, the Manager, Compliance will be responsible for:
- the management, support and oversight of the four regulatory compliance and enforcement Team Leaders, located in each region;
- utilising a risk-based approach to regulatory activities including capacity building activities designed to increase sector wide compliance;
- providing sound strategic advice and recommendations on complex regulatory issues.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Effectively manage and provide leadership to a team of employees
- Provide oversight of and support Team Leaders in the conduct of proactive and responsive enforcement activities undertaken by Regulatory Officers
- Support the development of the team's enforcement capabilities through formal and informal means, including on the job guidance and coaching
