About the role

Key accountabilities for this role include:

- \tResolve requests using Stantec ticket system within agreed timeframes and ensure all tickets are correctly documented.
- \tConduct Queue Management activities, including the management and auditing of the Incident and Service Request queues daily, and monitoring and alerting managers on trends.
- \tConduct proactive maintenance and administration of designated services, including implementation, configuration, and monitoring.
- \tDeploy software updates and security patches to workstations.
- \tCollaborate with other IT service teams and the Procurement team on lifecycle management to ensure that local IT assets are fully and effectively used during their effective life.
- \tEnsure the safe, secure and effective disposal of Stantec computing devices.
- \tInstallation of all user related Software on receipt of an approved Service Request.
- \tParticipate in cross training and mentoring with service delivery teams.
- \tParticipate in IT projects as an operational resource performing tasks as required.
- \tContribute to the development of operational procedures and documentation.
- \tCollaborate with a global workforce.
- \tAble to work after office hours as required.
- \tAble to travel across offices from time to time.
- \tSupport corporate policies, procedures and best practices pertinent to supporting Stantec’s Infrastructure.
- \tComplete all work in line with Stantec Health and Safety program.

What we are Ideally looking for:

- \tMust be a permanent resident or Australian citizen
- \tTertiary or industry qualification in Information Technology (or equivalent)
- \tExperience working in an IT environment
- \tTravel will be required, must have valid driver’s license and passport as travel will be required, including some international
- \tSelf-starter - The ability to work with mínimal supervision
- \tDemonstrates an outstanding “customer orientated” service management experience
- \tAbility to build relationships through strong interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
- \tAble to tackle a problem by using a logical, systematic, and sequential approach
- \tHave awareness of the challenges and benefits of working in geographically and culturally dispersed, virtual teams, and willingness to work cooperatively with others in such teams
- \tPositive, can-do attitude with the ability to use initiative and think outside the box
- \tAbility to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
