About the opportunity
You will be working on site (2-3 days per week in the office) working collaboratively with project team members including the Program Manager, Development and Test Leads, ensuring development/test/production environments are managed effectively. Specific responsibilities will include:
Planning a high-level forward release calendar and communicating to all applicable parties
Measuring and monitoring release progress to ensure alignment with agreed timelines
Tracking and working 'hands-on' to resolve release risks/issues which may impede the agreed schedule
Convening go/no go sessions at applicable release milestones/gates
Ensuring low-level release/deployment plans are maintained
Coordinating release day/night and support activities
Working with Change and Communication teams to ensure release scope and business impacts are effectively communicated to stakeholders/users
Drafting and presenting weekly status reports to the project team, and senior executives, and
Working to refine the automated deployment processes through various phases of development through to production.
This is an initial 6 months contract to start early in the New Year so to qualify you will be able to demonstrate:
Minimum 3 years' experience providing Release/Support Management services for IT system solutions including experience in the above tasks
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent stakeholder management and organisational skills
Flexibility to work outside of core business hours at peak times (e.g. production releases)
Ability and willingness to take part in on-call support on weeknights/weekends (note this is on select weeknights/weekends)
Experience with Microsoft DevOps automated deployment pipelines.
