ROLE OVERVIEW
We're seeking an experienced Release Manager to lead the establishment of end-to-end release management capability for a large-scale digital transformation program. This is a true greenfield opportunity where you'll design, implement, and mature release frameworks, governance models, and tooling strategies from the ground up.
You'll oversee multiple delivery streams across CRM, Data Analytics, Integration, Cyber Security, and ITSM platforms, ensuring seamless coordination between technical teams, business stakeholders, and delivery partners. The role will initially focus on building the release function for the program phase and later support transition into BAU operations.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Design and manage release frameworks, schedules, and governance processes.
- Coordinate releases across multiple systems and technologies, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Conduct readiness, milestone, and Go/No-Go reviews, maintaining clear documentation and release reporting.
- Work with testing and development teams to integrate quality gates, resolve conflicts, and manage code merges.
- Ensure compliance with change management, cybersecurity, and governance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement and promote best practices in release management.
MORE ABOUT YOU
- 5+ years' experience establishing and managing release processes within complex or greenfield environments.
- Proven experience executing release management processes, including scheduling, coordination, and delivery of multiple concurrent releases across applications such as CRM, Data Analytics Platforms, Integration Platforms, Cyber Tech, IT Service Management, and enterprise environments; covering projects, application changes, OS patches, security updates, and hardware upgrades.
- Expertise across integrated enterprise systems and modern software delivery methodologies (CI/CD, DevOps).
- Strong knowledge of governance frameworks, testing practices, and environment configuration management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business domains.
- Prior government program experience and exposure to testing or automation tools highly regarded.
