**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Are you a fast paced and experienced Business Support Officer with outstanding energy and work ethics? Do you have experience working within a government department and are eager for your next role?

**Public Sector People** are currently working with numerous leading Government Departments.

We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and experienced Business Support Officers to commence a 6 month contract starting ASAP with a strong potential of extension.

This exciting role within a large and very high profile government department has a rate of $36 per hour + Super and starting soon

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide responsive administrative support in finance, human resources, correspondence management, travel bookings and general administrative support.
- Support senior officers by arranging meetings / functions, attendees, catering, venues and secretariat support.
- Assist in the processing of correspondence & using established correspondence tracking systems to ensure timely responses prepared.
- Use systems to process and check on financial, human resources, records and procurement information.
- Professionally field, direct and respond to incoming calls and requests.
- As directed monitor and report on the status of various processes for which senior manager(s) is/are responsible.
- Be an effective team member, willing to learn and participate in business improvement activities.

**SELECTION CRITERIA**
- Must have high attention to detail
- Must have strong understanding, value and recordkeeping practices
- Experience in a similar role within a Government department or large organisation
