We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and experienced Building investigations Officers with a temp to perm opportunity.

This exciting role within a large and very high-profile government department has a rate of $44 per hour + Super and starting soon

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- leading complex major investigations covering land use, building, and plumbing, involving multiple stakeholders.
- assisting in the allocation of work to match staff capacity and mitigate risk.
- reviewing documents prepared by staff, including reports, briefings, and statutory notices.
- contributing to policy development and process improvement.
- building collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, and key industry bodies.

**SELECTION CRITERIA**
- Knowledge of the _Planning Act 2016_, the _Building Act 1975_, the _Building Regulation 2006_, the _Local Government Act 2009, _the Queensland Development Code, the National Construction Code and associated codes, standards, and regulations.
- Experience in undertaking investigations, and determining appropriate compliance or enforcement strategies.
- Knowledge of the building and construction industry.
- Experience in delivering quality customer service as a technical expert who can translate complex information into simple concepts to facilitate customer understanding and manage expectations.
- Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills in a specialist technical environment.
