Accountable for underground mining operations

Due to a company-wide restructure, there's an opportunity to roll your sleeves up and get your hands dirty in this newly created role. Reporting to the APAC GM, you'll have intimate knowledge and contribute to the business strategy and operations.

You'll have full responsibility for all APAC underground field operational deployments and support activities.

Make your mark, draw on your vast mining operations experience to lead teams and get work done in a safe and compliant manner. Take time to understand customers' challenges, and manage project deliverables to meet and exceed their needs.

**Variety is the spice of life....** No two days are the same in this role
- Servicing and supporting mining technology
- Facilities management (warehouse control, Regional operations centres etc)
- Managing budget, business and service operating costs
- Developing trusted advisor relationships with customers
- Managing APAC underground operations personnel.

**Let's be honest, it's not going to be easy.....**Key Challenges will include:

- Driving a strong safety culture across all sites.
- Ensuring profitable business growth through solid operational delivery.
- Managing a geographically spread team.
- Building a Centre of Excellence for underground operations.

**Experience and Skills Required**
- Extensive knowledge of operations /commercial management within the mining industry.
- Team leadership in a field communications technical or project role.
- Strong knowledge of mine processing, communications and controls.
- Accurately contribute to management reports, proposals and policy docs.
