A 2-month Service Desk Officer role for a SA Government department based in Adelaide

**Your new company**

This SA Government Department is based in the Adelaide CBD and they are in the lookout for Service Desk Officer to join their team.

**Your new role**

You will provide first level IT support and customer service to internal staff. You will handle IT incidents and requests, install and maintain IT equipment and software, and support users on IT systems. Main duties and responsibilities as as below.
- Refer difficult or unsolved issues to higher level support or supplier.
- Log and report all IT events and demands using IT service administration system.
- Deliver IT assistance to users remotely and on-site across different places.
- Set up, upgrade and fix software and hardware.
- Keep track of IT resources and supplies.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Proficient in delivering IT support and customer service at the first level.
- Acquainted with IT service management frameworks and tools, such as ITIL and ServiceNow.
- Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively, and handling multiple tasks and priorities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to engage with various stakeholders and customers.
