This well regraded SA government department has a friendly and supportive culture. They are currently dealing with high demand in their service desk and looking to add to their team. Their focus is communication and customer service.

**Your new role**

The Service Desk Officer offers first and second level support as well as technical advice in response to events and requests that have been reported by the Department's sites with a high degree of customer service. To ensure the provision of high-quality technical outputs for all organisational stakeholders, the role calls for the effective identification and execution of a variety of service delivery techniques and processes. This entails using troubleshooting and remediation methods to address problems as well as the effective use of standard installation and setup procedures across a variety of important ICT systems and platforms.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Provide high level of customer service related to the provision of first and second level incident resolution for the department’s ICT systems users.
- Maintain positive work relationships with all stakeholders of the organisation
- Assist in investigation of complex issues by researching and contributing to the identification of relevant factors that determine further action.
- Contribute for continuos improvement.
- Assist with providing appropriate training and coaching for system users as required, which ensures the maximisation of ICT system support and utilisation.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Demonstrated experience in customer service and interpersonal and communication skills.
- Being flexible and ability to learn new technologies.
- Experience working with Microsoft Group and Security Policies within Microsoft Domains.
