**Job Summary**

Opportunity exists within the Bechtel team to work closely with our customers on various Mining and Metals projects across Australia. The Information Technology Lead role is at the core of Bechtel’s project delivery model. This position will initially be based in Perth and will be expected to relocate to a project jobsite.

**Major Responsibilities**

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide a project information technology coordination and planning service for the Project. Reporting to the Project Information Systems Lead, the key deliverables of this role are to work with the Project Management Team, Client Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) team and Bechtel IS&T Management to ensure project communications and IT infrastructure are fully planned, supported, and implemented to Bechtel IS&T global standards. The role:

- Coordinates project computing and IT infrastructure planning to support study and project execution requirements
- Meets regularly with the Information Systems Lead, Project Management Team, customer’s IS&T representatives and project personnel to understand the overall project needs
- Expedites actions on current status, issues and resolutions in an accurate, effective and timely manner
- Provides jobsite IT infrastructure setup and closeout planning input into the project automation plan and input into the project IS&T estimate
- Maintains open communication channels and works as an integrated project team member, working with the Information Systems Lead, coordinating project IT staff (both project
- and corporate based) to provide a customer-focused service
- Provides a focal point for the analyses and resolution of issues (network, hardware, software, etc.) as they arise on the project
- Works within a standardised global support model, leveraging established global governance for IS&T services and support, change management, asset management, etc.

**Education and Experience Requirements**

Industry experience gained through a recognised degree in a STEM-related field, and/or specialized courses in IT, Engineering or related fields, and/or extensive work experience in a STEM-related field.

**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**

The Information Technology Lead role requires a strong blend of leadership, stakeholder management, and analytical and technical skills. Some key attributes you bring to this role include:

- Strong ability to partner with customers to review and understand end-to-end work processes and IS&T planning to support study and project execution
- Experience with managing people including providing mentoring and guidance
- Experience managing budgets and scope changes that may have a cost or schedule impact
- Strong technical knowledge of a broad range of IS&T technology principles including the following: desktop and server computing, cloud computing, wired and wireless networks, construction site technology (two-way radio / push to talk; access control, etc.)
- Able to translate technical information into practical terms for discussion and presentation to broad audiences
- Demonstrate a strong safety focus and value the development and maintenance of client relationships that clearly define expectations and responsibilities.
