Perth, Australia Karara Mining Ltd Full time

With an expected mine life of 30+ years, it will underpin a long-term iron ore business and provide sustainable benefits to the regional community in which we operate. The operation includes a large open pit mine, complex ore processing and beneficiation plant and significant infrastructure and logistics networks.

We are seeking an experienced **Information Technology & Cyber Security Superintendent**, based primarily in our Perth office and being responsible for the overall leadership and management of our IT team, providing our sites with appropriate and effective Information Technology solutions to suit the business needs.

**Key responsibilities and deliverables**:

- Lead cyber security strategy/policies development to align with business requirements.
- Provide day to day leadership, direction, coaching and management to IT team members.
- Develop and maintain IT policies and procedure for effective delivery of IT function.
- Manage the implementation of IT system changes and upgrades.
- Provide technical direction and guidance to ensure prompt resolution of problems relating to IT services.
- Manage capital project delivery, including vendor/supplier engagement and management.
- Ensure IT function remains effective and efficient in providing services to meet the business requirement.
- Effective and efficient support to internal stakeholders ensuring little to no disruption to operation.
- Annual budget development, effective management of budget and cost.
- Identifying opportunities of cost optimization and system improvement via continuous improvement.

**Essential requirements** **and experience**;
- A Bachelor degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
- WA C Class Drivers License
- Previous experience in similar management level roles within mining industry
- A track record of dealing with complex IT related issues
- Familiar with networking and the Microsoft technology stack
- National Police Clearance
- Permanent work rights in Australia
