**About the Faculty of Business and Economics**

The faculty is home to the Melbourne Business School (MBS) and to five teaching and research departments; Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management and Marketing, and the Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research. In addition to these, the Faculty has the following student and academic support centres; Academic Programs, Student Experience and Experiential Learning, Research Development Unit, the Williams Centre for Learning Advancement and the Quality Office. The faculty also hosts a University-wide initiative: The Melbourne School of Professional and Continuing Education (MSPACE) which provides support to all Academic Divisions for their existing professional, continuing and executive education programs, and operates with a specific whole-of-institution mandate to significantly expand the University’s professional, continuing and executive education offerings.

There are about 11,000 students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate degrees within the Faculty.

The Bachelor of Commerce is one of the most sought-after business courses in Australia. From 1 May 2013 all graduate programs in business and economics are offered through Melbourne Business School. Melbourne Business School offers a full suite of professional masters programs for those with little work experience right through to the MBA suite. It is also the home of leading research masters degrees and the PhD.

**About the Role**
The Global Engagement and Partnerships Officer provides support for the work of the Associate Dean (International) (AD(I)) and the Associate Dean (Engagement) (AD(E)) and is responsible for the management of key aspects of the Faculty’s partnership and engagement portfolio, including international activities. The Global Engagement and Partnerships Officer works collaboratively with academic and professional staff across the Faculty and University to further develop and implement the Faculty’s international and engagement strategies.

Responsibilities include:

- Working in collaboration with the AD(I), AD(E) and other stakeholders to build and manage the Faculty’s formal bilateral and multilateral relations with strategic partners.
- Preparing and analysing data to provide strategic analysis of opportunities for partnerships arising in both existing and new markets.
- Providing strategic advice to the AD(I) and AD(E) to assist with the development of engagement activities and provide support for their implementation.

**About You**

You are a competent and confident worker with well-developed data analysis and report writing skills, able to manage activities and events with considerable independence, initiative, and judgement. You'll thrive in our dynamic environment where conditions may change, and your exceptional interpersonal skills enable you to collaborate with a diverse range of people, including external stakeholders and those from non-English backgrounds. With advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRMs, you'll also have the ability to learn new software as required. If you have experience or understanding of the Australian and international higher education sector and have managed international partnerships, that's a bonus. Plus, with excellent organizational and time management skills, you'll be able to plan and prioritize your workload, handle multiple tasks concurrently, and work well under pressure.

You will also have:

- A degree with substantial relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of global engagement activities.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder and partnership management, including experience implementing related strategies, processes, and work plans.
- To ensure the University continues to provide a safe environment for everyone, this position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check._
