**About - Chancellery International**
Led by the Deputy Vice Chancellor International, Chancellery International provides strategic guidance and expert advice for internationalisation and global engagement, through:
- Coordination and oversight of the establishment, development and review of the University's formal bilateral and multilateral relations with overseas universities and other strategic partners;
- Providing the strategic direction for engagement with the region and broader international engagement;
- High-level representation of The University in Australia and internationally.
- Development and strengthening of international funding, networking and mobility opportunities;
- Provision of strategic region and country-specific advice to the University's Chancellery, faculties, graduate schools and other relevant stakeholders;
- Advancement of the international diplomatic relations' strategy and provision of intelligence in relation to key government agencies and diplomatic missions in Australia and overseas;
- Development and oversight of protocol for the management of high-level incoming international visits and delegations; and
- Management of international visit programs for high-level visitors to the University
**About the Role**
Join our team as an International Visits and Engagements Officer and make a real impact in the world of international relations As the first point of call for international visit requests, you'll provide advice to internal stakeholders, coordinate logistics and ensure culturally appropriate documentation is provided. You'll also have the opportunity to build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and provide administrative support for outbound visits and delegations. Not only will you play a vital role in coordinating high-level, strategically-aligned international visits and delegations, but you'll also have the chance to develop your skills and grow your career in an exciting and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordination of and where required, active engagement with inbound international visits, delegations, events and conferences.
- Provision of advice to determine the acceptance of visit requests.
- Timely logistics management, including program development, meeting schedules, room and dining bookings, meeting protocol advice and procurement of appropriate gifts.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders in Chancellery, Faculties and the Chief Operating Officer Portfolio to inform the delivery of an effective International visits program.
- Develop accurate, concise and informative programs and briefs to support Chancellery executive engagement with specific visits and engagements.
**About You**
You will also have:
- A degree with relevant experience; or extensive experience and broad knowledge of the field; or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience and/or education and training
- Previous experience in public relations or interaction with members of the diplomatic community, or ministers and officials of overseas governments.
- Fluency in another language and or work experience in another country is a plus but not a requirement for the role
