**About the Melbourne Law School**
Melbourne Law School (MLS) is Australia's first all-graduate law faculty. Melbourne Law School was the first faculty in Australia to teach law and awarded this country's first law degrees. The Law School is a single department faculty located in a custom designed building in University Square. The Law School has approximately 2,200 graduate students (including JD, Melbourne Law Masters and Research High Degrees).
**About the Role**
The Stakeholder Engagement Officer will play an integral role in the management of key networks and stakeholder groups critical for MLS’ strategic objectives, including student life, advancement, research, industry partnerships, etc.
As part of the Graduate Services and Careers team, this role will be working with the Dean’s office, Marketing and Communications, Advancement and other relevant parts of School and University, to coordinate and seamlessly deliver of a range of strategic programs aimed at strengthening relationships between the MLS, its industry partners and other important stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the management and implementation of MLS’ stakeholder engagement strategy.
- Develop and deliver relevant engagement programs, activities, and communications.
- Acting as liaison between external and internal stakeholders.
**About You**
You are an experienced stakeholder manager, with the ability to build networks and liaise with a wide range of contacts, both internal and external to the organisation. You are able to work autonomously, and your strong interpersonal skills will also allow you to be an effective member of a team. You are able to utilise sound judgement and complex problem solving skills as you call on your experience in strategic planning and risk management. Your knowledge of protocol relevant to the legal profession and experience in events management will be invaluable to you in this role. You possess strong abilities in data management and CRMs, able to manipulate and analyse data with ease. Ideally you will have experience in digital content production (such as videos, podcasts, or other multimedia pieces), however this is not essential to your success.
You will also have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification with at least 4 years’ subsequent relevant experience in stakeholder engagement, marketing and communications, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Significant experience in project and program management including marketing and promotion, logistics, budget management, events, implementation and evaluation, with capacity to develop, deliver and evaluate programs in time and on budget.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including high level of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to draft, edit and proof communications materials
- To ensure the University continues to provide a safe environment for everyone, this position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check._
