**Your new company**
Your new government department is involved with the future of Australia's sustainable development. This department manages internationally recognized standards, codes of practice and guidelines.

**Your new role**
- Liaising effectively across all levels of Government, industry bodies, community groups and all other stakeholders on administrative and operational matters
- Contributing to policy development and project management, including working with jurisdictions to develop work plans
- Leading the administration and coordination of activities
- Undertaking research and analysis to inform policy development and implementation
- Undertaking administrative and secretariat tasks. This includes the preparation of meeting papers and associated administration for committee meetings, tracking the work and project specific activities of the committees and assisting in member appointment/reappointment processes
- Preparing ministerial correspondence and assisting in the preparation of briefing materials
- Providing team support in the delivery of the work of section and corporate support to senior staff as directed.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Demonstrated experience in preparing a wide range of written advice to senior Ministers and Commonwealth Officials
- Demonstrated ability to effectively liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, including Minister’s Offices, Senior Executive, traditional owners and peak industry bodies.
- Knowledge or understanding of water policy
- Experience in policy development and/or the administration and management of programs is desirable but not essential.
- Experience providing secretariat support to high level committees is desirable but not essential.
