**Job Description**:
We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Technology Manager to join us at our Perth Radio station, 6PR. While managing technology for WA’s number 1 commercial News/Talk Radio station, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of shaping the next generation state of the art radio facilities that we are building in Nine’s WA headquarters in St. Georges Tce. in the heart of Perth.

You will play a pivotal role in leading, building and managing the technical rollout of our new radio station. You will provide leadership in the modernisation of our Radio station and be Nine’s Radio SME in Western Australia.

**Day to day responsibilities include**:

- Managing technical support and providing technical leadership to the Perth radio team and the broader national Nine Radio technology group
- Managing on
- and offsite broadcast, building and IT infrastructure and systems
- Supporting and managing broadcast Audio over IP infrastructure, troubleshooting issues and deploying new systems
- Level 1 IT Support for users; triage and escalation of IT support requests to Nine’s IT team
- Day to day maintenance, operation, installation and repairs at the studio complex and transmitter sites
- Managing and maintaining AM transmission equipment for 6PR including electrical, RF, mechanical, security and safety systems
- Maintaining technical documentation for 6PR.
- Participating in a regular on-call roster for both studio and transmitters with some out-of-hours work when required
- Work collaboratively with other Nine Technology and internal teams (locally and nationally) to provide mentoring, support and solutions for the benefit of the business

**Qualifications**:

- Extensive experience as a team lead or manager in a technology Support and/or Build role within the Radio Broadcasting industry
- Formal qualifications in audio engineering, electronic engineering, RF engineering, IT/networking or related technology preferred but other relevant equivalent qualifications and experience will be considered
- Experience deploying and supporting the following Radio broadcast software and hardware
- Zetta
- Telos Alliance / Axia products
- Wheatstone
- Q-Sys
- Broadcast Bionics
- Newsboss
- Tieline Codecs
- Cisco networking
- Factum Radioscape and DAB+
- AM Radio transmission links, monitoring and transmitter systems
- Experience in AM, FM and/or digital transmission is desirable
