**Your new role**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement geophysical/geo-sensing technologies for critical mineral discovery.
- Conduct field experiments to test and refine seismic and electromagnetic technologies and a range of conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate data and improve discovery success and mining efficiency.
- Utilize modern inversion and machine learning techniques for subsurface reconstruction.
- Contribute to capacity building in both human resources and infrastructure.

As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of the role. Only in limited situations will visa sponsorship be considered.

**Selection Criteria**:

- A doctoral qualification in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, Engineering or Physics.
- Evidence of a record of research outputs/creative works in high quality refereed journals/outlets
- Deep understanding of principles of seismic and electromagnetic technologies.
- Proficiency in data analysis and machine learning methods.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Strong desire to develop and test new technologies within industrial settings or in remote locations.
