Overview:
The
**Social Media Executive - Content **is responsible for planning, resourcing, and prioritizing all requests from marketing, technology and business stakeholders, specifically within our Social Media global needs. The remit spans across all digital touchpoints, yet specifically within Social Media. Focus of geography will be the APAC region, as well as any global insights when identified.
This role is responsible for creating regular market commentary and analysis to highlight the wide range of expertise and experts available at StoneX. It will also aim to support traders, investors, and others adjacent to the financial industry through multiple channels along with potential media engagement and brand building. Market insights will cover FX, commodities, and indices, as well as coverage in other financial venues such as payments, crypto and other fields. The breadth of coverage is to be paired with SEO tenets to build awareness of StoneX through search engine algorithms as much as word of mouth.
Analysis and concepts will focus on themes of macroeconomic headlines, general education, and trading/investing strategies and more. Our means of distribution will stretch beyond our native site and will include posts on social platforms such as Twitter, videos on YouTube and streams on Trading View among other strategic outlets.
**Responsibilities**:
- Produce written and video analysis content across key asset classes for the consumption through social media.
- Monitor developments in the markets and produce timely, compelling written and video content around those developments utilizing fundamental, technical and sentiment analysis.
- Funnel their own content effectively into various social media platforms with varying requirements on post size and even voice - with an aim to pushing engagement back to full analysis on our properties.
- Push insights from internal tools and other colleagues with specialties in other markets to social media platforms to build awareness of the company’s broad expertise.
- Support the development of important evergreen and educational content.
- Work with the Content, Design, Product, Technology, Commercial and other internal teams to ensure market commentary content meets the needs of traders.
- Attend and contribute to regular social media and global content planning, as well as meetings with other global stakeholders.
- Work with your line manager and comp manager for specific and appropriate KPIs.
- Run reports to evaluate the effectiveness of content in different social platforms, leveraging those insights to determine useful testing.
- Produce and distribute commentary to media and provide follow-up responses to questions as they arise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in financial markets, economics, or similar concentration.
- Strong understanding of FX, commodity, and indices markets and how to communicate them within a beginner, intermediate or advanced audience.
- Experience producing compelling content utilizing fundamental, technical and/or sentiment analysis.
- Social media expertise required and working within platforms with strong familiarity with main social media platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn or others within the industry space.
- Experience working in virtual teams and working remotely with international resources & stakeholders.
- Persuasive communicator, both orally and in writing
- Ability to prioritize and execute in a highly dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
- Track record of delivery timely, compelling, error-free short
- and long-form market analysis content
- A demonstrated personal interest in the markets and trading
- Knowledge of SEO best practices a plus.
- Industry qualifications a plus (CFA, CMT, CFTe, etc)
