**About this role**
Other key responsibilities include:
- Being a resource person for the provision of high quality and cost-effective patient care, within a safe working environment.
- Utilising the philosophy, objectives, policies and programs of the Nursing Division as a reference to plan, implement, control and evaluate methods and systems which support the effective delivery of patient care within available resources.
- Adhering to, and providing education/guidance to staff on the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHSS)
- Maintaining cooperative relationships with medical, nursing, administrative, allied health professional and ancillary staff.
- Acting as Chief Fire Warden.
**Hours**
This is a casual relief position, working across a 14-day roster. Successful applicants will be expected to cover Annual, Long Service and Personal leave for those currently in the position. An ability to rotate onto night duty would be advantageous.

**About you**
- Knowledge of legislation and standards related to Nursing
- Knowledge and involvement in performance management and improvement programs
- Demonstrated ability to plan and conduct patient/staff education
- Current knowledge of WHS legislation and EEO principles and practices
- Current registration with AHPRA
- An interest in mentoring and educating our up and coming senior nurses.
Relevant postgraduate qualifications and current Advanced Life Support Certification will be highly regarded.
