OHS Officer needed for highly regarded NFP provider.

**Your new company**

Our client is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of families and Carers across WA by providing access to services, support and resources.

**Your new role**

You will be responsible for the following:
Co-ordinating WHS training and awareness programs including sourcing accredited external service providers.

Delivering WHS programs to promote company safety culture through advice, training, information sharing and events.

Undertake regular workplace safety inspections, audits and risk assessments and manage any hazards and risks via the Incidents and Hazards Register.

Maintain a schedule of maintenance works required for the buildings owned (or leased) including preventative maintenance and testing of building systems (eg: fire, alarms etc).

Identify any remedial works required through regular safety inspections and assist the relevant teams to co-ordinate any works required.

Co-ordinate any workspace modifications, maintenance and general repairs to buildings as required.

Co-ordinate building refurbishments

**What you'll need to succeed**

Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety and 3-5 years of experience in a related position.

Intermediate level of computer literacy including in the use of Microsoft Office products and ability to maintain databases.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work and interact with a wide range of people.

Sound organisational and project management skills and ability to work autonomously on simultaneous projects within tight deadlines.

Lead change management and show initiative to streamline and improve internal processes with respect to workplace health and safety.

Current C class drivers’ licence.

National Police Clearance issued within the last 3 months (to be provided upon employment).

Desirable Criteria

Experience in public speaking, group facilitation and training.

An understanding of Carers issues and needs.

Ability to travel regionally (occasionally) if required.

Experience in working for Not for Profit
