Supervising Producer

**The Job**

We’re looking for a dynamic, experienced Producer to join the team at FOX SPORTS News. You’ll be tasked with helping to set the editorial agenda of FOX SPORTS News and direct staff to help execute it. You will assign tasks to a team of producers, make key decisions about how our coverage should look, and work to improve overall coverage.
- Lead a team of producers to create engaging, informative and accurate news programming
- Delegate tasks to producers to ensure quality content goes to air
- Monitor external news sources to ensure FOX SPORTS News is first to report on breaking news and accurate in our reporting
- Responding to breaking news events, including verifying and gathering information around developing stories
- Making independent decisions about news elements and story treatments
- Liaise with studio staff, producers and editors to ensure high quality programs are delivered
- Assist with the subbing of scripts where required and give feedback to reporters and producers
- Ensuring all content meets legal requirements and legal advice is passed on to all relevant staff, in consultation with the Executive Producer and News Editor
- Complete and comply with all News Corp and ANC policies, including ANC’s Social Media Policy and News Corp Global Standards
- Reporting any breaches of News Corp or ANC policies to the relevant parties

**Skills and Experience**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience
- Strong people management skills
- Thorough knowledge of a wide range of sports
- Exceptional editorial skills and judgement
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Excellent writing, spelling and grammar
- Thorough knowledge of production techniques and systems
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask
- High attention to detail and quality technical understanding
