**About the Job**

Delivery, Technology and Data (DTD) is responsible for planning and preparing the organisation for the future through strategic technology innovation, intelligent use of data, and streamlined delivery capability, as well as protecting our business and executing for today and tomorrow. The general divisions within DTD are 1) Technology, 2) Delivery, 3) Information Security, 4) Data Management & Governance, and 5) Insights and Risk

The Risk Specialist role is essential in supporting the Risk Managers within DTD, who will rely on you to provide data and information, as well as work with multiple stakeholders to ensure focus on key items is maintained. You will provide insights, guidance and support to all areas in DTD, to help them manage risk.

This role is under the supervision of the Head of Risk and works closely with the DTD SMEs and other risk professionals.

**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**:
Responsible for supporting the operation of risk management practices within DTD to ensure the business is able to effectively identify, define and manage risks, and subsequent remediation activities.

**Projects**
- Support the risk management across projects, working with the team to identify execution and delivered risks, as well as portfolio risk.

**Issue Remediation Management**
- Support of remediation of issues identified via audits, control testing, risk assessments, incidents, or other means
- Responsible for ensuring that all Issue and Remediation Plans are info is maintained

**Incidents**
- Support the oversight of appropriate response to enterprise incidents, commensurate to the impact and root cause, and working with the business to help identify strategic opportunities to improve
- Support the analysis of incident data, to provide insights and trend information which can then be used to drive strategic change in business operations

**Reporting**
- Be accountable for and drive the reporting of risk activities within the BU, and external to the BU

**General Risk**
- Support the execution of enterprise risk initiatives (e.g. Risk / Controls / KRI re-baselining activities)
- Maintain data integrity activities for DTD within the enterprise GRC tool

Other tasks will be provided, based on capacity and capability by the Head of Risk

**Further Activity Areas**:
As the team evolves and growth opportunities emerge (as well as ensuring everyone maintains a holistic set of skills and experience), further opportunities may arise in the following areas (but these are not expected for the initial role)

**Controls**
- Support control identification and definition work
- Support the execution of the controls testing program

**Audits and Incidents**
- Support the planning of audits for a given year
- Support the oversight of audit activities within the business unit to ensure effective and efficient use of resourcing, avoid false-positive findings and minimise the impact on the business.
- Support definition of appropriate actions off the back of audit findings

**BCP and Compliance**

Support the business to ensure that our BCP / DR design / plans and testing is adequate and fit for purpose, to address the operating requirements
- Support the governance over our compliance plan
- Support the regular compliance activities are executed within appropriate timeframes, with supporting evidence enable attestation by the Group Executive

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Required experience, understanding or credentials including:

- 2+ years’ experience in risk management practices, including at least
- 1+ year in project and portfolio risk support
- 1+ year in risk assessment and supporting risk decisions
- 1+ years in evaluating the remediation of identifies issues, and validating / changing the approach so that it is appropriate
- Fair understanding of key legislating and regulatory standards and instruments, and eager to learn more
- Ability to understand complex concepts whilst working collaboratively with both the business and wider risk teams
- Experience in managing multiple tasks with competing deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work in an environment
