Are you a risk management enthusiast looking to make a significant impact? At Smart, we're seeking a dynamic Risk Specialist to join our Group Risk (Line 2) team. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of supporting the business with their risk management responsibilities and assisting the Group Risk team with providing valuable risk insights to our management and Board. Your expertise will help us to continually shape our risk culture.
To be successful at Smart, you will bring:
Risk Management Knowledge: 4 years experience in a Line 2 Enterprise Risk / Compliance role (preferred), Line 1 Business Risk role and/or audit role. Strong understanding of risk management concepts with the demonstrated ability to apply such knowledge in a practical and commercial manner
Analytical & Attention to Detail: Strong skills in analysing and understanding data and making high-quality analytical recommendations.
Critical Thinking: Capable of critically analysing business processes and risks to identify control deficiencies, business operating problems, and opportunities.
Risk System Administration: Skills and passion in configuring risk systems to facilitate recording and reporting of risk related data, conducting detailed analysis of risk data to identify risk themes and other insights
Willingness to Learn: Demonstrates passion and willingness to consistently seek to broaden your understanding of the business and its operating environment, beyond the issue at hand.
Passion for innovation.
Stakeholder Management: Possesses strong stakeholder relationship skills and experience in working with business stakeholders in a personable non-confrontational manner.
Communication Skills: Demonstrates robust verbal and written communication abilities, including active listening.
Agility & Adaptability: Adapts and navigates new challenges with an open mind and positive outlook in a fast-paced business environment.
