**The role**:
Reporting to the General Manager, Strategy & Stakeholder, this is a great opportunity for a highly personable, action orientated professional to add value as a contributing member of the General Manager’s leadership team providing advice, guidance and support.
As a trusted confidant of the General Manager you will navigate competing demands within the group being pre-emptive in anticipating their needs in advance building strong, effective relationships to support regular interactions with key stakeholders, both internal and external to South East Water
Being a first point of contact for customers, stakeholders and employees on matters that are referred to the General Manager will provide you with opportunities to foster professional relationships throughout the business and work on a variety of projects within the group and wider organisation.
You will also work collaboratively as part of the Executive Support Team and be able to provide coverage across the team as required.
**Who are you?**:
To be successful in this position, you will have experience in a similar role and a background in Government departments, regulatory authorities, Strategy or Compliance would be highly regarded.
You will also be able to demonstrate:
- A high level of professional maturity, self-awareness, initiative and a positive, action-oriented attitude
- Exceptional attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
- Proven experience in Board and Subcommittee administration, using best practice Corporate Governance
- Experience supporting a Senior Executive within Government or a large and complex business
- High standards of integrity and confidentiality when dealing with confidential and sensitive information
- The ability to utilise strong judgement and astute decision making skills
- The ability to communicate with influence at all levels of the business and with both internal and external stakeholders
- The ability to collaborate with peers and build networks across the business to drive shared outcomes
- A high level of flexibility, learning agility and resilience, demonstrated through thriving in a fast-paced environment with many competing demands
- Tech savvy with an interest in discovering new ways of doing things
- Previous experience supporting events or digital marketing activities would be an advantage.
- Tertiary qualification in business administration or marketing is preferred
- 5 years experience in a Strategy/Planning/Compliance environment is preferred.
